What a week on the emotional rollercoaster for the Full Scottish team!
We were hopeful on Thursday about a Remain vote, gobsmacked on Friday with the disappointing Brexit result, incredibly proud of Scotland for voting overwhelmingly to Remain, and we are excited to discuss all the implications on Sunday’s show with an impressive lineup of guests.
On the Full Scottish newspaper review we have Cat Boyd and Paul Kavanagh.
Cat Boyd
Cat is a Scottish trade union activist who was a co-founder of the Radical Independence Campaign and the Scottish Left Project. She was a RISE candidate in the recent Holyrood election and writes a regular column for The National.
Paul Kavanagh
Paul is probably better know to you all as the Wee Ginger Dug, writing for The National, where he regularly gets his teeth stuck into Scottish political issues.
Iain Robertson
Bafta award-winning Scottish actor Iain Robertson is starring in the much-awaited remake of Whisky Galore, which opens in Edinburgh this weekend.
Director Gillies MacKinnon said he waited 20 years to cast Iain in the role. Iain is probably best know for appearances in Sea of Souls, Small Faces and Rab C Nesbitt.
Prof Phillips O’Brien
Professor Phillips O’Brien is a history lecturer at Glasgow University. He spoke regularly about defence and other issues during the 2014 independence referendum – we want to hear his take on Brexit and Indyref2.
Amra Mujkanovic
Amra Mujkanovic is a young Bosnian Muslim, working and studying in Glasgow – she’s in her fourth year of a festivals and event management degree. Her mother escaped the brutal Bosnian conflict as a schoolgirl and fled to Scotland where she brought up her three daughters – Amra is the oldest and her family history means she has an insightful perspective on the EU referendum and what it means for immigrants.
