Welcome to Perth as Ukrainians from across Scotland gather to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day. The event begins with a procession from the 51st Highlander Memorial to North Inch for a celebration of Ukrainian and Scottish culture, music, dance and more.
Acts performing include featuring professional Ukrainian singers Elzara Batalova, Karina, and Olga Prokopenko, along with musician Nadiia Skliarova and the traditional dance ensemble Kvity Ukrainy plus many other music, singing and dance performers.
Other entertainment will come from e from the Saints in the Community, Perth Pipe Band, Adventure Circus, Strathmore School of Dance, Letham Majorettes, Inspire Dance, Kinfauns Step Dancers, and Fair City Baton Twirlers.
Ukrainian Independence Day has been celebrated in Perth and Kinross each year since to show Scotland’s support for Ukraine and its people.
